It seemed appropriate to open my thanks to all those who made Lent and Easter so special with the Greek word for thanks as well as the word we use for “communion.” Eucharisto means “good gifts”. You all have shared all of your good gifts this season, and always.

Ash Wednesday the choir joined St Stephens in a wonderful worship experience – thanks to those who participated: Joan, Frank, Ken, Glenda
Wednesday night dinners were hosted by the Lawlers, the Dimas’, the Aplands and Roncos, Marilyn Feldhaus & Robin Bradbury, the Doerings, and the Sahoos. Thanks to all for great food and discussion. Also thanks to Amber for providing great enriching time for the younger kids.
The first Sunday of Lent the kids of the congregation presented great music and a great drama about Noah. Thanks to all the kids and their families and to Kathy and Glenda for their leadership.
Lent in the sanctuary: the banners, paraments, and the rainbow with the colorful hands were all provided by Charlotte, Kathy, Glenda, Jean, Jim, Ted, and Deb.
The workday in the rain had Linda and Joan cleaning the entry and sanctuary, and Frank, Bob, Jim A. & Ted on the outside beautifying our property.
Palm Sunday decorations were provided by Ted, who picked-up and set up the large palms. Special music was provided by the kid’s choir, and the Gospel drama was presented by Curtis, Jonathan, Joshua, Robin, Sandy, Shannon, Debrianna, Mimi, & Linda.
Seder dinner and service was sponsored by the confirmation families with over 40 folks attending! A special thanks to the Bradbury family, the Dimas family, the Lawler family, and the Sahoo family for the planning, food, set-up and clean-up, as well as to Jim Carlson for the grilled legs of lamb, and Jim Underwood for all the music and production.
Good Friday’s service was narrated by Joan and Frank Ronco, Charlotte Happel, music by Jim Underwood, and projection by Jim Carlson.
Easter butterflies were made by Chalotte, Kathy, Deb, and Jean, and pinned to the walls by the Kathy, Mimi, Kaylee, Charlotte, Jim & Deb U. Kathy, Frank, & Joan did the Easter baskets and balloons, Rick the banner, and the choir and confirmation youth for their part in this very special celebration worship.
Every single family was involved in some part of the production of Lent and Easter activities! Forgive me if I missed naming you.
Beyond this special activities, there were other activities happening:
The communion bread is baked lovingly by Sally Pierce and Linda Tremoureux for each worship service.
The stained glass windows are now fully protected by lexan thanks to the installation work of Ken Doering, Bob Busby, Ted Hemmig, and Rick Voss, and paid for by the generosity of the congregation.
Support funds for our music program are raised by Linda Doering from candy sales, recycling, Currents Cards and gifts, and sales at the crafts shop from the crafts made by our crafting group. She is now a budget item for $1,200/year! Thanks to all who work with Linda.
VBS planning and promotions are also going on at the same time. Thanks to Rick and Mimi for heading this up and getting so many involved.
Your support and love for this community of faith is astounding and overwhelming. My gratitude goes beyond words.
Pastor Anne
